Born the eldest of four daughters to two teachers in a northern valley of the Golden State, Tamara  grew up listening to, reading and then re-enacting favorite children’s books like Never Tease a Weasel by Jean Conder Soule and Bread and Jam for Francis by Russell Hoban as well as many well-known Bible stories.  Always a Ham(m), she married one in 1989, completed her degree in Communications, had two children and then moved to the Green Mountain State in 1997 where she began working as a children’s Librarian and earned her Vermont Library Certification.

Her goal as the librarian for children and young adults in Dover is to create an environment where children are inspired to read, learn, play and grow-- encouraging them along to be all that they are uniquely made to be.

In addition to being a wife, mother and children’s librarian Tamara enjoys reading, baking, singing and creating fun and educational events for kids at the library and church.
