We encourage the use of the community room for cultural, educational, and recreational programs.  There is no charge, but donations are welcomed.  Groups must begin their meetings at a time when the library is open.  Tables and chairs should be returned to their original position at the end of the meeting.  Reservations may be made in person or over the telephone.  A completed application confirms the reservation.  Reservations may be made up to 3 months in advance of the meeting.  A single application may be filed by a group holding regular monthly meetings as long as all the conditions of use continue to be met.  The representative who fills out the Request for Use application commits the group to following library policies and assumes responsibility for any damages to the Library.  He/she should be someone whose standing in the organization carries this authority.  Except for Library Staff meetings, interviews, and training sessions, gatherings at the Library must be free and open to the public, therefore the Library reserves the right to make the name and telephone number provided on the request form available to anyone inquiring about the scheduled meeting.

The Community Room is a light and comfy study room, readily converting into a cozy Community Auditorium with a BIG SCREEN and multimedia projector.

The Community Room is more than a meeting place.  It features Vermont writers and musicians and exhibits the work of local artists.
The GALLERY WALL ART SHOW changes each month, usually opening with a reception for the artist on the first Saturday.
